News from Room 209It has been a very busy year already for the seventh graders. In religion the focus is on John's gospel. Math topics so far include graphing and calculating with positive and negative integers. Language arts activities include writing an autobiography and reading Number The Stars. Making a lifeline and creating a travel brochure from various countries are some of the projects they did in social studies. In science they were in the lab working with microscopes. They are currently studying classifying living organisms. Something new has been added to our curriculum this year. The students attend Spanish class five days a week. Bubble Day was a big success. All the students had the opportunity to design bubble wands and test them. In the morning there were language arts, math, and art activities focusing on the bubble theme. Everyone enjoyed the event. |
