Our school library is located in the lower level of St. Viator, next to the kitchen and cafeteria (or school hall). Our librarian is Mrs. Giersch. Our library
has over 15,000 books and magazines for our students to look at and borrow!!! The students also have access to the media center, which includes
9 computers. Students often do research here. Every month we have a "Library Reading Raffle". If you are caught reading, you get a chance to win prizes in the raffle. Pre-k through 8th grades all come to the library once a week. 1st through 8th may borrow books for 1 or 2 weeks at a time. |
The library has a hermit crab named Sebastion. The children love to visit him. We will be getting more hermit crabs soon! Hearts Club is a club where the senior citizens of our parish can volunteer their time to reading for our 1st graders. They meet in small groups in the library, and read a loud to the children for 40 minutes. This club meets every Tuesday in the library. The students really enjoy this! During the holiday seasons the students make cards for their readers to express their gratitude. Room 104 |
