Back-to-School Bash September 25, 2009: Grades Five through Eight Celebrate the Return to School The evening of September 25 found the Rec Center decorated with streamers, balloons, and twinkling lights and filled with students from Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eight Grades. The occasion was the 2009 Back-to-School Bash. Under the watchful eyes of teacher chaperones and parent volunteers, the children socialized, ate pizza, and danced to music provided by DJ-Jay (aka Mr. Jason Lontoc). Dance numbers ranged from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" to the Black-Eyed Pea's "I Gotta Feeling," and included party favorites such as the "Macarena" and the "Cha-Cha Slide." As the social broke up at 9:00, it seemed as if everyone, children, teachers, and parents alike, left with smiles on their faces.
