Coaches Letter Of Understanding
As a volunteer coach you have taken on many duties and responsibilities. You are responsible for the teaching and development of the student athlete on your team, as well as Rec center security and clean up after practices and games. The following information is to provide you with an outline of the duties required. Please ask questions and be sure to share this information with your team parents. Also, a sincere “Thank You” for all your efforts on behalf of the St. Viator School Athletic Association.
- Follow team rules and regulations as printed
- Collect all fees, permission forms and complete rosters within 5 days
- Carry a copy of permission forms to all games and practices
- Complete forms as required by Parish and Archdiocese
- Sign out and return keys/follow lock-up procedure
- Coach of first game responsible for open/set-up of gym/kitchen
- Coach of last game responsible for close/clean-up of gym/kitchen
- All practices on parish property (unless approved in advance)
- Absolutely no outside coaches at practices or on the bench at any game
- Coaches will not transport teams to games
- Obtain approval prior to entering any tournament by a written request to the SVAA board, which will be reviewed at the board meeting.
- No games may be changed or rescheduled by any coach
- Coaches will review and comply with rules of order as printed
- Coaches are responsible for collecting team uniforms at end of season
