Girls On the Run St. Viator selected as site for Girls on the Run St. Viator has been chosen as one of the select sites for Girls on the Run, a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls age eight to thirteen years old. The program combines training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. The St. Viator girls will practice twice a week, beginning in March, for 12 weeks and will train to compete in a 5K run/walk in June at Montrose Harbor. St. Viator is excited about the program and the impact it will have on its girls for years to come! Parents Night Out for St. Viator's Girls on the Run Program: Saturday, January 30, 7:30 pm at Uptown Lounge (1136 W. Lawrence) Hosted by St. Viator parent, Gene Stokes, owner of Uptown Lounge & the Girls on the Run coaches: Christina Stokes, Melinda Bustamante, Lisa Jones, Cassie Maziarka, and Diane Palumbo.
