HEARTS Club

Hearts Club is a special volunteer based program.  Members of the parish and school community volunteer to read with the St. Viator 1^st graders.  The volunteers meet with our little ones to share their time and love of reading.  Hearts Club meets every Tuesday from 1-2pm during the months of October through December and then again from February through April.  Small groups of 1^st graders are placed with each volunteer to listen to a story.  The books are provided by the school.  As the year progresses, the 1^st graders will start to read to the volunteer!  They always enjoy showing off their new talents!  It is amazing to see the students grow as readers in just a few short months!  By the end, our volunteers and students have formed a special bond of friendship that neither student nor adult will ever forget!
