FROM OUR PASTOR
|
I am grateful for this opportunity to briefly introduce myself to the alumni of St. Viator Grade School. My name is Fr. John Eck. I have been a Viatorian priest for 42 years and spent 27 years in high school teaching and am committed to Catholic Education.
I have been here at
|
St. Viator for six years. I have spent time in the grade school and have enjoyed the students.
Now, as Pastor, the existence and growth of the school and its identity as a Catholic School is a top priority.
One of the most rewarding experiences that I have
|
had here is the opportunity to participate in the liturgy with the alumni during their reunions. The stories and memories were both uplifting and exciting. I hope to have many more such opportunities as the alumni association grow
and develops.
Fr. John E. Eck, C.S.V.

Class History:
Went to school in September. Days went pretty fast. Soon there was First Semester Exams. I could hardly believe it. We had several dances and parties. The Altar Boys had a picnic. I got this book on May 14,1945.
V-EDay was last week about this time. I am going to St. Phillips (mispelled! It was St. Philip Benizi High School). I have already registered there.Good class. Swell kids.

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
|
|
St. Viator Elementary School is one hundred three years old. So many children have come through the doors on that first day of school, eager to learn and a little scared, too, probably just like you.
St. Viator continues to offer an outstanding academic program, balanced with spiritual guidance and physical activities. Our fine tradition carries on, and as alum, you can be proud to have been a part of this educational program. Today our program includes preschool for three and four year olds, as well as, before and after school care and a state recognized program for grades kindergarten to eighth. Our intramural and traveling sport teams continue to help develop the physical dimensions of the child and instill in our athletes a sense of fair play. This program along with the Parent's Club and the many parent volunteers helps to foster a family spirit. We are proud to continue the tradition of educating the whole child ~ body, mind and soul. We look forward to the future and hope you will have the opportunity to see the "very room'' you were in! KATHLEEN KOWALSKI
