HISTORY OF THE VIATOR CLUB
I am currently the caretaker of the photos and memorabilia from the past 100 years of our school. There is not as much as you would hope but the pieces we do have are priceless.

When going through trunks in the convent I found three photo albums. When looking through the albums I found documentation of the first Viator Club in the 1950's and 60's.

At the time we were trying to set a name for the Alumni + that we were creating and resurrecting the name The Viator Club seemed serendipitous and

was met with general approval.

I set the albums aside until today when I actually took time to 'look' at the books. These albums are wonderful reminders to me that there are a multitude of Alumni who have graced these halls before me. If I can garner so much joy from reminiscing in our parish's history there are probably others.

If there is anyone who remembers these people I would love for them to contact us to fill in some of the history so we can document the legacy.

CLASS OF 1960
The Class of 1960 celebrated its Forty-Five Year Reunion in October of 2005. Our afternoon began with a tour of the School and Recreation Center, followed by 5:00 Mass, and a pizza buffet at La Villa Restaurant; which was decorated in school colors of blue and gold. Twenty-nine classmates along with ten spouses attended this event. Classmates had traveled from Iowa, Kentucky, Oregon as well as suburban Chicagoland. A booklet was compiled, highlighting major events of our lives such as spouses, children, grandchildren and other accomplishments, with forty-one classmates responding. We attended the following high schools: St. Patrick, Alvernia, Madonna, Loyola, Carl Schurz, Gordon Tech, St. Benedict, Quigley, Weber, Prosser, Lane Tech, Good Counsel, Glenbrook North, East Leyden and Mundelein. Seventy-four out of 114 students were located and seven of our classmates are deceased. Five alums still live in the parish; fifty-nine live in Illinois; five in California; nine in other states (CO, FL, IA, KY, MO, NV, OR, RI, WI); and one in England. It was nice going back in time with an evening of non-stop conversations.
