St. Viator Athletic Association Explanation of Programs

St. Viator Athletics' offers a wide variety of after school programs for children in grades 4th through 8th. Below is a brief description of what each program entails.

We encourage each child in this grade level to participate in either our Intramural or Traveling programs each year, they build team spirit and create lasting memories throughout the years.

Intramural Programs for grades 4th through 8th:

The Intramural program is run after school starting at 2:30. There is cheerleading for the girls and basketball for the boys. Girls basketball intramural and boys Rock in Jocks (boys cheerleading for the girls!) takes place after that. Co-Ed Volleyball Intramurals follows in the Spring. All of these programs are open to all 4th through 8th graders. There is a Tournament weekend which ends each program that is exciting and much anticipated by the kids each year. The food court is open and it is a great place to come as Parents to socialize and watch your children perform.

The cost to participate in EACH program is $60.00

Traveling Programs for grades 5th through 8th:

Our Traveling programs are offered to 5th through 8th grade boys and girls. In the fall starts Basketball for girls and boys. Followed by Girls volleyball for 5th through 8th and Boys volleyball for 7th and 8th graders. The coaches of our teams are all volunteers of the school most with long histories of coaching. At the 5th -6th grade level it is more instructional and becomes more competitive at the Junior High Level. We compete in multiple leagues throughout the city and have been ranked #1 for our program for a number of years!!! Team building skills and sportsmanship are huge part of our program to prepare the children for High School Athletics.

The cost for the traveling programs is as follows: Basketball $85.00 Volleyball $70.00

St. Viator Gold Card:

The St. Viator Gold Card is offered to all families of St. Viator whether you have a child participating or not. This membership entitles you to unlimited admission to any and all school related sports events at our Gymnasium. The cost of the Gold Card is $30.00 per family and is well worth it especially on the Intramural weekends when you are coming and going all day long.

Primary Gym:

" Our Primary Gym program is offered to 3yr old Pre-K through 3rd grade. The 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month starting in January through May is offered for parents and their children to come and play sports, meet new friends and start out their time at St. Viator school. This is a great time to come and play with your child/children in our spectacular gym. Please fill out the Primary Gym form and the Consent form to enroll.

" The cost of this program is $20.00 PER FAMILY.

Consent forms MUST be filled out for each child participating in any after school programs. A copy of this form is kept with the coaches at all games in case of an emergency. Each Child only needs 1 Form on File you do not need to send one for each activity.

The payment form is new for this year and merely an option to allow families to pay in full for the school year for all programs their children are participating in for the 2007-2008 school year.

You do not have to pay in full, you can choose to pay each event as it comes up. For traveling sports the fees must be paid in full before the child can play at a game. No exceptions will be made.

We hope that this information is helpful to everyone in deciding to allow your children to participate in our Amazing programs. We are always looking for new individuals to join in and coach or help run an Intramural program as well. These programs cannot run without the volunteering of parents.

The Athletic Association has their general meetings every third Monday of the month at 7:30pm in the Rec center 2nd floor. We welcome everyone to attend.
