St. Viator Teacher Wins ‘Heart of the School’ Award

The Office of Catholic Schools gives recognition to outstanding, unique, and innovative accomplishments by individuals in the Archdiocese of Chicago. Congratulations to Mrs. Kathleen Johnson, the middle grade math and 7th grade homeroom teacher at St. Viator, for winning the 'Heart of the School' Award for innovation and creativity!  Mrs. Johnson is one of only two Chicago Archdiocesan teachers to win in this category.   In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Johnson has also coordinated student participation in the St. Scholastica Academy ‘Math Carnival’, Enrichment Programs, and leads the Yoga with Drama Club at St. Viator.  Mrs. Johnson graciously acknowledges that she feels lucky to teach at a school where her creativity is encouraged.  In recognition of the award the Coleman Group, in conjunction with Office Max, presented Mrs. Johnson with two huge boxes containing a variety of school supplies.
Everyone at St. Viator is very proud and feels fortunate to have of Mrs. Johnson teaching our students!
