The cross country season is beginning! The St. Viator cross country team is open to St. Viator students in grades 5-8. An informational meeting and 1st practice will be held on Monday, August 15 at 6:00 pm at Kilbourn Park. Runners should meet at the southeast corner of Kilbourn Park, off of Roscoe St. This is where all future practices will be held.
Practices will continue each week on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:15p and on Saturdays 8:00-9:15a. Our 2022 meet schedule is as follows:
9/10: DePaul College Prep Ram Invite (Horner Park)
9/17: St. Helen Open (Schiller Woods Forest Preserve)
9/28: tentative LTAC Middle School Invitational (Horner Park)
10/1: Bengal Invite (Harms Woods in Skokie)
10/8: Sectional Meet (must qualify to participate)
10/15: State Final (must qualify to participate)
It is not necessary to pre-register for the team. If your student is undecided about formally joining the team, please consider joining us for a few practices to give it a try! The fee for participation in cross-country is $65. This covers the use of uniforms and entry fees for meets. St. Viator Athletic Assoc consent forms will be available at the practice on the 15th. Checks should be made payable to the St. Viator Athletic Association.
