1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form on the Site (contact form, volunteer form, tour request, or similar), we collect the information you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. When you schedule a tour through our scheduling tool, you provide your name, email, phone number, and the date and time you choose.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our website platform and analytics tools automatically collect certain information about your device and visit, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, the website that referred you, and general location (city or region). This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 3.

Information we do not collect through the Site. The Site does not collect student records, grades, health information, or payment card details. Applications, enrollment, tuition payments, and student information are handled through separate systems (PowerSchool, FACTS, and in-person or phone payment) that have their own privacy terms.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your questions and requests

• Schedule and confirm school tours

• Contact volunteers and families about School activities

• Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it

• Measure the results of our advertising, including whether a visitor who clicked an advertisement later scheduled a tour

• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device that helps a website recognize your browser.

Website platform (Wix). The Site is hosted on Wix.com. Wix sets cookies that are necessary for the Site to function and for security. Wix's privacy policy is at https://www.wix.com/about/privacy.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site, including which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at the Site, and whether they complete actions such as scheduling a tour. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects your IP address, which Google truncates. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you by name. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Ads. We advertise the School on Google Search. When you arrive at the Site from one of our advertisements, Google may set a cookie so that we can measure whether that visit led to a tour booking. This is called conversion tracking. Google may also use this information to show our advertisements to people with similar interests (remarketing). You can control the advertisements Google shows you at https://adssettings.google.com.

Calendly. Tour scheduling on the Site is provided by Calendly, an embedded scheduling tool. When you use it, Calendly collects the information you enter and may set its own cookies. Calendly's privacy policy is at https://calendly.com/privacy.

Consent. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings on the Site or by changing your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; doing so may limit some features of the Site.

4. How we share information

We share information only as follows:

• With service providers that operate the Site and the tools described above (Wix, Google, Calendly), who process it on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.

• With the Archdiocese of Chicago, which oversees the School, when required for School operations.

• When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of students, staff, or others.

We do not share form submissions or tour requests with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for parents, guardians, and adult members of the community. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Site, contact us at office1@stviatorchicago.org and we will delete it.

6. Data retention

We keep form submissions and tour requests as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain our admissions and volunteer records, then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default settings, which we have set to the shortest available period.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you from the Site, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting office1@stviatorchicago.org. You can opt out of cookies as described in Section 3. If you are a resident of a state with a consumer privacy law that applies to the School, you may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.

9. Links to other sites

The Site links to other websites, including PowerSchool, FACTS, the Archdiocese of Chicago, and our parish. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
