St. Viator Elementary School enjoyed the third annual It's Showtime performance in our Rec Center Gym. This show brings students from every grade to the stage to perform acts inspired by Broadway hits. There were even soloists!
"The Penguin Dance / Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"
Mary Poppins
This crowd favorite featured students from our PreK-3 class dancing with older kids - too cute! The youngest students were paired with the longest word!
"A Million Dreams"
The Greatest Showman
In this dream-like sequence, the audience was transported to a magical circus, complete with feats of strength, death-defying balancing acts, and whimsical dances.
"Stayin' Alive"
Saturday Night Fever
The performers lit up the dance floor with their moves. Pretty sure even John would've taken notes.
"Once Upon a Time in December"
Anastasia
Adelyn mesmerized the crowd with the first of the two solo acts. Beautiful!
"Under the Sea"
The Little Mermaid
The crowd went for a swim, enjoying some merriment with a lively group of sea creatures.
"I Know Things Now"
Into the Woods
Grace sang about a lesson that Little Red Riding Hood learned the hard way. Just awesome!
"Revolting Children"
Matilda
This action-packed number had children jumping off desks, bustin' moves, and throwing papers while the crowd clapped along!
"We Go Together"
Grease
The smiles came easily for this group. The students had a blast bringing this well-known anthem to the stage!
"Let's Go Fly a Kite"
Mary Poppins
The cast and crew closed out the show with a sing-along, inviting the attendees to join in!
Speaking of Crew...
The students wearing all black were the Stage Crew. They worked the props and set pieces to make sure each performance was set up just right!
Parent Volunteers
It's Showtime happens because parent volunteers make it happen! From the planning, rehearsals, creating the scenes, and executing the show: they-make-it-happen! We are so grateful for Gail and all of her directors: Megan, Ellen, Sarah, and Abby. Kathleen handled the backdrop design and led the Crew, while Coby was the Prop Master, creating most of the props for the show! Parent assistance came from Sully, John, Rita, Elizabeth, Kelly, and Jen. UpBeat Music and Arts provided the musical accompaniment. And if you saw the program, then know that it was edited by Lauren and printed by the Main Office. Thanks to Dr. Rieger, Diane, and the Office Staff for their support of the production.
There were two performances of It's Showtime. Families and friends enjoyed the show on Sunday afternoon. Students started their week with the production, watching it after the Monday Morning Meeting. Many thanks go out to everyone who helped get It's Showtime to stage for the shows! We are so grateful to the parent volunteers for providing a performing arts opportunity for the St. Viator students! Bravo!
We are Peace Builders; We are Eagles; We are St. Viator!
