It's Showtime! 2025: Land of Oz

The 2025 It's Showtime! was even bigger than last year! St. Viator students practiced all spring preparing for the annual performing arts show, this year entitled Land of Oz.

Land of Oz featured musical numbers inspired by The Wizard of OZ and Wicked musicals. Parent Volunteers designed the individual skits, then practiced with their students. The singing and dancing was entertaining and moving.

Parent volunteers also led the crew through set design and production. In between performances, the crew reset the stage for the next group.

All St. Viator students were eligible to participate, from our 3 year old preschoolers up to 8th graders. They put on two performances; one for the larger community, and another for their classmates.

This was the 4th year for the It's Showtime! performing arts production. Parent volunteers continue to drive the development of the show. Nearly 100 students participated this year, showing that it's a hit with the student body (pun intended).

We are grateful to the It's Showtime Coordinators, Mrs. Gogliotti and Mrs. Brace, for producing another great show. We are inspired by the Parent Directors and their Practice Assistants, all volunteers, who worked with students across the grades to develop entertaining skits. And we thank Mrs. Barnes and Mrs. Puralweski for setting the stage with the props and backdrops. Thank you to the staff in the Main Office who helped with behind the scenes support. Mr. Pingo, our dedicated Physical Education teacher, set up the gym for the show - thank you, sir! And thank you to our principal, Dr. Rieger, for her continued support of this performing arts initiative.

We are also grateful for all of the parents who sent their students to participate in It's Showtime!. And for the student performers, who put in the work at practice and gave their all to two great shows!

St. Viator Elementary School continues to explore enriching afterschool opportunities to offer our students, from podcasting to cross country.
