Spelling Bee Update

We shared about our 33rd Knights of Columbus Spelling Bee in March, where we crowned the our top 3 spellers from the school. In 3rd place was Tallulah V (5th), in 2nd place Kenna J (5th), and taking 1st place Andy C (6th)!Those 3 students travelled to La Grange to participate in the local competition, attempting to qualify for the regional bee.

One student continued on, so today, we share an update on Andy's path through the rest of the competition.

Andy's Mom shared that on March 15, Andy won third place in the Knights of Columbus regional spelling bee (La Grange). That qualified him to compete down in Springfield, where he competed for a few rounds, and was eventually eliminated in round 7. That's so great - we echo the sentiments of his parents - "We’re so proud of his hard work and drive!"

We are grateful that the Knights of Columbus continue to create this opportunity for students to compete at St. Viator and beyond. The spelling bee is a great way for students to exercise their classroom learning. Congratulations to all of our spellers, especially to Andy C. for his success.
