Ms. Jeanette Mazur, one of our two Second Grade teachers, is the next St. Viator Elementary School Teacher up for introduction. This is Ms. Mazur’s first year teaching at St. Viator Elementary School, and she is another teacher who completed her degree in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Mazur graduated from Northeastern Illinois University, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in the spring of 2020. She told us that “[she] had to complete student teaching virtually!” When asked about her favorite aspect of teaching, Ms. Mazur shared, “I love how no two days are alike :)”. When speaking specifically about St. Viator Elementary School, Ms. Mazur shared a common theme: “I love the sense of community and how tight-knit the whole school is at St. Viator.”

I have ALL females in my family! I have 3 sisters and 2 nieces, no brothers or nephews! I also have 2 eleven year old yorkie-poos since birth, Levi and Clark. They are the light of my life!
Do you have any hobbies?
I love hiking and the outdoors
What is something you wish the parents of your students knew?
How each child is truly unique, talented, and wonderful! :)
What is the most helpful thing a parent can do for your class this year?
Helping with eLearning, because it takes a village for eLearning to really work.
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
Navigating a brand new career through Covid-19.
