It's always great to have the Knights of Columbus on the St. Viator campus for the annual Spelling Bee! This year marked the 34th year that St. Viator students gathered on the second floor of the Rec Center to start their spelling bee bid.

In addition to the members from the Brownson Council of the Knights of Columbus, our own Mr. Slawik reprised his role as the official word pronouncer.

15 students started the bee, 3 from each grade, 5th through 8th. The students did well, with one of the knights remarking that they went deep into the spelling list. Everyone agreed it was a great bee!

In the end, the top 3 spellers were: in 3rd place Ava P (8th), in 2nd place Kenna J (6th) defended her spot from last year, and taking 1st place was Andy C (7th)! Andy defended his title from last year, making this the second year that he won our St. Viator Knights of Columbus Spelling Bee!

The regional round will be in March, probably at the LaGrange Library. We will share details and updates as they come along. Thank you, Knights of Columbus, for hosting another Spelling Bee for the St. Viator Students. Thank you, Mr. Slawik and Dr. Rieger, for your continued support of the bee. And 🦅 CONGRATULATIONS EAGLES 🦅 on an excellent Spelling Bee!

We are Peace Builders; We are Eagles; We are St. Viator!
