Saturday was a fun day for the St. Viator Elementary School girls’ basketball players. The Lady Eagles attended the National Girls & Women in Sports Day Shootout, hosted at Lane Tech College Prep, to watch the Lane Tech Junior Varsity and Varsity teams take on Resurrection High School.
The past met the present when St. Viator Elementary School alumni met with several of the current 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade girls basketball players. Delilah Downes (St. Viator Class of '19) is a senior on the Varsity squad at Lane Tech, while Ariana Porrata & Maggie Yoest (both St. Viator Class of '21) are sophomores playing for the Lane Tech JV team.
St. Viator Elementary School Alumni contribute to the school in many ways. Alumni regularly advise on the School Board, fundraise, and volunteer for school events. Athletics are another opportunity for alumni to connect with St. Viator Elementary School.
