Mrs. Bloom led her 6th Grade Students through the annual Science Fun Fair Project. Students chose a scientific topic, like nutrition or the circulatory system, and researched information about that topic. Then, they designed carnival-style games to present the information in a fun way. Together, they transformed Mrs. Bloom's classroom into a fun, hands-on learning environment!

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Classes took turns attending the fair. The 6th Grade introduced the fair, then worked their stations while attending students played the games.

Most of the games were a combination of a quiz and a challenge. And in true carnival fashion, there were prizes to win at every game. As the energy in the room rose, you could tell students were having fun learning!

Mrs. Bloom and the homeroom teachers monitored the fair to be sure the fun stayed at a reasonable level. For the most part, they let the 6th grade students manage the participants, who moved along the games at their own pace.

The 5th Grade Students were taking notes since next year, as 6th graders, they will host the fair. There were many smiles all around the room!

Thank you to Mrs. Bloom for a fun and educational project, that offered a creative learning environment while giving 6th Grade Students teaching and leadership experience. STEAM fun for everyone!
St. Viator Elementary School is engaged with our STEAM curriculum, working to design hands-on experiments for all grade levels. The educators teaching our STEAM Curriculum, like Mrs. Bloom, are working to bring wonder throughout all of the science lessons.
