We are celebrating our First Communicants, the St. Viator 2nd Grade students who received Holy Communion for the first time on Saturday. They took the next step in deepening their participation in the Church and their relationship with God.

Ms. Murphy, the 2nd Grade Teacher, led her students through their preparation and accompanied them at the celebration.

Dr. Rieger welcomed the congregation to start the Mass, and Father Benjamin and Father Michael co-celebrated the Sacrament.

The church was full as the St. Viator students joined their Religious Education counterparts to take the Holy Eucharist together!

Our thanks go out to the school families who joined us to witness this Sacrament. We are honored to walk with your child during their faith formation! Thank you:

All St. Viator students take Religion Class in their coursework. For students who are practicing Catholics, their Sacramental Preparation is handled in those Religion classes, during the school day (no outside classes needed). In 2nd Grade they make their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Students will prepare for Confirmation in 7th Grade, then make their Confirmation in 8th Grade.

It is exciting to think of all the growth in store for the First Communicants. This week, we are looking forward to seeing them take Holy Eucharist at the Class Mass! We can't wait to watch them deepen their faith during their time at St. Viator Elementary School.
Congratulations, First Communicants!
We are Peace Builders; We are Eagles; We are St. Viator!
